In 2002 PrintVision engaged Moment to rearchitect and redesign their flagship product–WebPrint–an on-demand printing application. It allows a customer to print a document from any desktop application directly to the web, specify printing and finishing options (paper stock, binding options, covers, and more), and then choose how many documents should be printed and where they should be delivered.
This application posed a unique set of challenges because customers could not see a proof to ensure their instructions were followed and their design correct. The overriding challenge was to create a site that the customer could trust, which would dynamically and accurately preview their document.
In addition to the interaction design and information architecture for the product, Moment developed the front-end code, created a css-based solution for whitelabelling the product, and designed the extensive administration site.
