Web strategy and research

Some of our best work happens before the traditional design process starts.

Clients like Tiffany & Co., Bowne, and Pfizer have hired us to provide customer-centered rationale and strategic direction for next generation products, services, and internal communications programs. We help our clients uncover their customers’ spoken (and unspoken) needs, and define business opportunities that fit how they work and live. Once those opportunity areas are mapped out, we drive the process of defining specific requirements for the best solutions to target the opportunities.

Software and product interfaces

We have a strong track record designing complex, data-driven applications and product interfaces.

For companies like Moody’s Investor’s Service, Andrew West Stockbrokers, TheMarkets.com, PrintVision, and Morgan Stanley, we have designed intuitive application interfaces that provide business solutions to their corporate customers and internal staff, and for mobileESPN we recently completed an interface for accessing realtime sports content via your mobile phone. To excel at the design of complex interfaces, we bring target users into participatory design sessions where we quickly iterate through possible solutions to measure utility and usability. We then create prototype or proof-of-concept solutions to illustrate the final working user experience.

Branding and communication

You may have seen some of our consumer-facing work.

Gucci, Telstra BigPond, Virgin Mobile are some of the brands who have retained Moment to design their e-commerce sites and web-based marketing materials. In each of these cases, balancing the needs of the customer with the needs of the brand was the key to our success.

Our largest clients often have hundreds of Web sites, developed by different internal groups, with no control over identity or design. Guy Carpenter, Marsh, and Bayer Diagnostics have all retained Moment to help them standardize an online design language and create the tools their internal teams use to manage future initiatives.
